Many congratulations to Lucy (G7), Jenny (G6), Holly (G6), Emilia (G5), Alex (G4), Suzanna (G2), Melissa (G2), Stephanie (G1) and Sophie(G1) for passing their exams. You were all brilliant - well done! And thank you all for being so patient, too, when the results took so long to be released.
We had a lovely pupils' concert in Barming school on December 10. It lasted about an hour, with cakes and a great social time afterwards. Many thanks to all who attended, either as performers or as audience.
Congratulations to everyone who took part in Maidstone Music Festival this weekend. So many lovely performances; I was (and still am!) really proud of you all. So to Isabel, Lucy, Suzanna, Anya, Rose, Samuel, Jenny, ella, Grace, Bella, Maddie, Marion, Holly, Tim, Joanne, Annie, Dylan, Philip, Ben, Megan, Callum and Melissa...well done!!! (And here's to next year)
This took place, as always, in Barming Primary school. It was, as always, a huge success. For some people, it was their concert and they can all be very proud of themselves. There was a wide age range and a wide experience range, and without exception everyone played very well. The social gathering which followed was also greatly enjoyed. Thanks to Jenny and Callum's Mum for baking and bringing delicious cakes. (And thanks to Lidl for making the ones that I brought!)
Congratulations to Miriam (Grade 1), Leo (Grade 1), Rose (Grade 2), Ella (Grade 3), Marion (Grade 3) and Maddie (Grade 2) for their excellent exam results. Well done, all of you!
Congratulations to Leigh, Bella, Maddie, Grace, Ella, Leo and Joanne, all of whom performed very well at this event. I didn't manage to hear all of you play because I was busy helping out in other classes, but I do know that you all played very well and the adjudicator, Nancy Litten was very impressed. Well done, everyone.
Congratulations to Annie (Grade 7), Matthew (Grade 1), Grace (Grade 1), Helena (Grade 2), Sue (Grade 2), Dan (Grade 2), Samuel (Grade 2), Cassius (Grade 5), and Anya (Grade 3). I'm really proud of you all.
This just HAS to have been one of the best concerts ever. So many people, playing so well. From Dylan at 5 years old to adults (ages not mentioned!). From beginners to post grade 8. Even a couple of mums who aren't my pupils but joined in anyway. A very varied, enjoyable concert and I'm really grateful to everyone who came, whether as performer or audience. A lovely way to end the term.
Congratulations to Holly (Grade 8), Callum (Grade 1), Tim (Grade 8), Kyle (Grade 2), Grace (Grade 4), and Christabel (Grade 2), Annie (Grade 5 theory), Jenny (Grade 5 theory).
Lots of hard work has paid off here! Congratulations to all of you who took part in mmf this year. Between you, you clocked up 35 entries in the Piano classes, one in the Strings class, four in the Wind classes, and one in the Family Group Ensemble class. Wow! It's really worth remember that the festival isn't only for piano...you can enter to play many other different instruments, including voice. There is also a "versatility" class for people to show how clever they are by playing two different instruments.
