This was a wonderful Sunday afternoon. We had thirty performers, from beginners to advanced, performing with voice, piano, cello, saxophone, clarinet, guitar, organ, and concertina. Everyone agreed that the concert was a huge success and very enjoyable. Kim Hitchcock and her band of ladies brought and served delicious refreshments, Robert Greenham printed the programmes, Tessa Protheroe organised a sale of books, Lynn Seeley manned (or womanned!) the raffle, and Sue Ridout sold tickets at the door. It seems quite noticeable that I didn't have a job myself. Hmm. I was VERY busy, though I can't exactly remember all that I did!
Anyway, apart from being a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon, the concert was primarily to raise money for mmf. And it did. We have made slightly in excess of £500 (exact figure not known yet) so everyone is to be heartily congratulated and thanked. On to mmf itself!
